Hermitage Saint Martin, ‘La Promesse de l’Ange’, Provence 2016

Producer : HERMITAGE SAINT-MARTIN

Chateau Hermitage Saint-Martin, is a historic estate dating back to the 13th Century, when it was founded by the Saint – Victor Monks of the region. The property itself was abandoned after the French Revolution, and was almost completely destroyed during the Second World War. It wasn’t until 1999 that the estate’s luck changed, when it was purchased by winemaker Guillaume Enzo Fayard. Guillaume was very young when he took control. With an open mind and modern attitude, he helped drive the organic and sustainable farming movement in Provence. The soils of his property share a lot of similarities to Bandol, meaning that they are well suited to producing wines of complexity and weight.
