Producer : Carlin de Paolo
Four generations have made wines at Carlin de Paolo, with a strength and resilience that ties into the family motto: The best ingredient of a wine is the honesty of the producer. Grignolino is native to the Piedmont and it derives its name from the word ‘grignole’, which means ‘many pips’ in the local Piedmontese dialect. Having such a large percentage of pips, means winemakers must take extra care during pressing to ensure wines stay light and elegant. This is what Carlin de Paolo have achieved. No bitter tannins, just a delicate and perfumed red that showcases another side to Piedmont. Perfect chilled in the summer!
