Producer : Domaine Ponsot
With origins dating to the late 19th century, Domaine Ponsot is a cornerstone of production in the Côte-de-Nuits. The domaine harvests very late, and respects traditional methods (for example, maturing their wines without new wood and bottling without filtration), resulting in a very rich style of Burgundy. An excellent balance between red fruits, earthiness, and subtle spice, this medium-bodied Cuvée will drink well now or over the next several years.
Pairing suggestion: pan-seared duck breast with creamy mashed potatoes.
