Producer : CHATEAU LAGRAVE PARAN
The Bordeaux Superieur appellation status in Bordeaux, covers a wide portion of wonderful vineyards. The key difference, that separates it from its generic labels, is a larger focus on bottle ageing prior to release.
These are powerful and intensely flavoured wines, with big ripe tannin’s, that require a minimum of nine months in the cellar before they hit the market. With a lengthy barrel age previously, the final wine of Château Lagrave Paran is a perfect candidate to drink with some age. In this case, the much loved and acclaimed 2012 vintage gives a wonderful round fruit character, whilst still maintaining freshness.
Food Pairing: Beef, strong cheeses
