Producer : Chanson
Maison Chanson is one of the oldest producers in Burgundy, founded in 1750. Purchased by Champagne house Bollinger in 1999, Chanson is having somewhat of a revival and now firmly holds the title of ‘Beaune specialist’. This wine is a blend of seven Premier Cru sites in Beaune, lending the wine an excellent ballance between the more tannic and powerful sites in the middle and south of the appellation, and the more supple and elegant wines of the north. Dark fruit aromas uplifted by a hint of lavender with a broad and rich palate are complemented by gentle tannins and unobtrusive oak.
Suggested pairing: escalope of foie gras aux raisins or seared duck breast
