Domaine de la Begude is a picturesque estate in Provence’s acclaimed Bandol region with original plantings dating back to the 18th Century. Respect of the environment is the core value of Domaine de la Bégude they take a low intervention approach from vine to bottle, are certified organic, and use many biodynamic practices as well. The 2015 Bandol Rouge is still on the young side: lots of ripe, dark fruits, spice, and herbs.
This blend of 90% Mourvèdre and 10% Grenache will start to drink now, but is best kept for antoher few years so that it can show its ageing potential, which will be especially good in magnum form.
