Producer : Domaine de La Begude
Domaine de la Begude is a picturesque estate in Provence’s acclaimed Bandol region with original plantings dating back to the 18th Century. Their vineyards are certified organic, with biodynamic practice, and sit 400m above sea level at the highest point of Bandol, giving natural exposure to the Mistral wind. Respect of the environment is the core value of Domaine de la Begude, and they take a low intervention approach from vine to bottle.
The wines are fresh and vibrant, with a backbone of acidity and a plush, yet reserved, fruit character. Ripeness of fruit in the blend is encouraged to a point, but these wines are designed with balance and age-ability. Cadet de la Begude is a blend of Mourvedre, Grenache and Cinsault, produced from their younger vines, and not oaked to be drinkable younger and reflect fully the fruit and the terroir.
